For years, I have sent “home” what today would be called a BLOG…a silly word for an important task…from vacations here and across the pond. It always took a little extra time, but now — decades later — I can remember things that otherwise would have been long forgotten. So, I’m going to give this new communications tool a try…and invite you to come along on the latest adventure.
My wonderful grandson, Alex, will be “Driving Miss Daisy” (aka Grams) across Texas, into New Mexico, Colorado and Utah in search of John Wayne’s favorite deserts, several Indian reservations, ancient pueblos, galleries that feature a few of my favorite Native American artists, and some amazing turquoise and silver jewelry craftsmen.
Since Alex is a world class nature photographer, I promise that we’ll post some great photos. Let the journey begin…
