It was a lovely day to drive across Texas…the rental Ford Explorer is a very comfortable vehicle and Alex is a more than competent driver. We took a direct route that involved only short stretches of highway and mostly meandered through corn fields and pastorale vistas. The amazing thing is that we left Houston around 9 am and rolled into Clovis NM a little after 6pm. The following photo is the only remarkable thing to show for the drive.
